I wish there was a star that can convey annoyance. I did not like the hero . He was an arrogant jackass. He was cruel and made so many assumptions of the heroine. I wish the heroine hasd taken the decision to not go to his family and continued on with her life as a strong independent woman. The story would have been more powerful and interesting if the hero had realized what a great mistake it was to let go of the heroine and should have grovelled a lot more to win her respect. The story felt wrong on so many levels. The palace intrigue was so plain that I couldn't believe that spies were not able to listen to what Becca and Rupert were shouting out in the halls. On the whole, the book could have been a whole lot better. Really disappointed with the rushed out ,going all over the place book.

I love her stories. Never disappoints.
I love romantic novels with good plot
Loved the book as always suspenseful and the characters are wonderful.
I have recently (past 6 months) reread Ms. Lindsey's books after almost 22 years. Now with the internet availability I have rediscovered more of her work and have nothing but good things to say of her writing. I really enjoyed this book and was able to finish my set of her Locke series with this book. I really recommend it!
The 'hero' man in this book was so awful! The auther did not give the reader enough in depth character to make him likable! Not nearly enough insight, or caring in his character to make me want him to get the girl, in the end. So sad! I usually love her work, but something was missing here.
What a fabulous story with incredible storytelling. On this author has written a heartwarming and beautiful love story incorporating some of my favorite characters from previous stories in this fantastic series.
This story definitely deserves a five plus star rating and will be definitely on my to read shelf for years to come.
Not my favorite book by a long shot, very predictable. I wanted to like it but it was so.......blah that I just couldn't get into it at all. I hate leaving bad reviews for one of my favorite authors but this book did nothing for me and I found it very simple and wanting. I would have loved to read a true twist in this book but I knew what was happening long before it happened. However, I will continue to read this authors books because I simply love the way she puts words on the paper even if this one was a complete flop in my mind.
